1968 Mexican student movement

A student-led movement in Mexico that demanded political reform and civil liberties in 1968. Government forces violently repressed it, most notably at the Tlatelolco massacre.

National Autonomous University of Mexico: Mexico’s major public research university, founded in 1910 and based in Mexico City. Its students and rector became central to the movement after police entered university grounds.
