A. A. K. Niazi

Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi was a Pakistani Army lieutenant general who commanded Pakistani forces in East Pakistan during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War and surrendered them to Indian and Bangladeshi forces.

Instrument of Surrender (1971): The document formalizing the surrender of Pakistani forces in East Pakistan on 16 December 1971. Niazi signed this instrument in Dhaka, ending organized Pakistani resistance in the east.
