Adolf Loos

Adolf Loos (1870–1933) was an Austrian architect and writer whose polemics against applied ornament helped shape modern architecture.

Raumplan: A spatial planning method that organizes rooms by function and height rather than by uniform floor levels. Loos used interlocking rooms at different levels to give interiors a carefully graded spatial sequence.
