Adolfo Pérez Esquivel

Adolfo Pérez Esquivel is an Argentine human rights activist, sculptor, and architect who received the 1980 Nobel Peace Prize for opposing military repression in Latin America.

Las Madres de Plaza de Mayo: An Argentine human rights group formed by mothers seeking information about children disappeared during the military dictatorship. Their public protests and his advocacy brought attention to the disappeared.
