Agrarian socialism

Agrarian socialism combines socialist ownership or control of land and production with agrarian values and the interests of rural communities.

Narodniks: Russian populists who idealized the peasant commune and sought a path to socialism rooted in rural life. Their belief in the village commune helped shape Russian agrarian socialist thought.
Socialism: A family of political and economic ideas favoring social or collective control of productive resources. Agrarian socialism adapts socialism’s ownership claims to land and rural production.
