Airbus A300

The Airbus A300 is a twin-engine wide-body airliner developed by Airbus and first flown in 1972. It was the first twin-engine wide-body commercial aircraft.

Wide-body aircraft: An aircraft with a cabin wide enough for multiple passenger aisles. The A300 brought this cabin class to a twin-engine commercial aircraft.
Airbus Industrie: The European consortium established to develop and market Airbus aircraft. Its member companies pooled design and manufacturing work on the A300.
