Alexiad

The Alexiad is a Greek history of Byzantine emperor Alexios I Komnenos, written by his daughter Anna Komnene in the 12th century. It combines imperial biography with accounts of warfare, diplomacy, and court politics.

Anna Komnene: A Byzantine princess and scholar who wrote the Alexiad, a history of her father Alexios I Komnenos. Her family position and learning shaped the work’s firsthand, pro-Komnenian account.
