Alfred Radcliffe-Brown

Alfred Radcliffe-Brown was an English social anthropologist who developed structural functionalism and used comparative analysis to study social structures and institutions.

Social structure: The patterned relations among people and groups in a society. Radcliffe-Brown treated these relations, rather than individual motives, as anthropology’s central object.
