TGV : France’s high-speed train service, operated with trains designed for high-speed intercity travel. Alstom built the TGV trainsets that became a defining part of its business.
Als-Thom : The French electrical and engineering company formed in 1928 through the merger of Thomson-Houston’s French operations and SACM. Its name supplied the roots of Alstom’s corporate identity.
Bombardier Transportation : The rail division of Bombardier Inc., acquired by Alstom in 2021. The acquisition greatly expanded Alstom’s train portfolio and international footprint.

Société Alsacienne de Constructions Mécaniques : A French engineering company founded in 1872 that manufactured machinery, locomotives, and other equipment. Its locomotive and engineering operations became part of Alstom’s industrial lineage.
