Amazon river dolphin

The Amazon river dolphin, or boto, is a freshwater dolphin native to the Amazon and Orinoco river basins. It is the largest river dolphin species and is often pink, especially adult males.

Inia geoffrensis: The scientific species name for the Amazon river dolphin. This is the species’ formal name in biological classification.
Fish: Aquatic vertebrates that typically breathe through gills and have fins. Fish make up much of the dolphin’s prey.
