Amedeo Avogadro

Amedeo Avogadro was an Italian scientist whose 1811 hypothesis connected gas volume with molecular number, helping distinguish atoms from molecules and establish molecular theory.

Avogadro's law: Equal volumes of gases at the same temperature and pressure contain equal numbers of molecules. This principle states the central relationship Avogadro proposed.
