Ancient Greek geography was the description and mapping of the known world by Greek writers and scholars, combining travel reports, mathematical measurement, and ideas about Earth’s shape.

Oikoumene: The inhabited world as understood in ancient Greek geography. Greek geographers mapped the known inhabited world, not every region of Earth.
