Anders Jonas Ångström

Anders Jonas Ångström (1814–1874) was a Swedish physicist and astronomer whose precise studies of emission spectra helped establish spectroscopy as a tool for investigating matter and the Sun.

Anders Celsius: Anders Celsius was a Swedish astronomer who proposed the temperature scale now bearing his name. Celsius preceded Ångström at Uppsala University, where Ångström later became professor.
