Radical feminism : A feminist tradition that analyzes patriarchy as a pervasive system of power shaping women’s lives. Dworkin’s writing belongs to this tradition and treats male dominance as structural.
Antipornography civil rights ordinances : Proposed local laws that treated pornography as sex discrimination and allowed civil claims against its harms. Dworkin coauthored this legal strategy with Catharine MacKinnon.
Feminist sex wars : A series of feminist debates, especially prominent in the 1970s and 1980s, over sexuality, pornography, and censorship. Dworkin became a prominent antipornography voice in these disputes.
