Anthony Quinn

Anthony Quinn (1915–2001) was a Mexican-American actor and artist whose film career spanned more than six decades. He won Academy Awards for Viva Zapata! and Lust for Life and starred in Zorba the Greek.

Zorba the Greek: A 1964 film in which Anthony Quinn plays Alexis Zorba, a forceful, life-affirming Greek laborer. Quinn’s performance as Zorba became his most enduring leading role.
Elia Kazan: An American theater and film director known for psychologically intense performances and socially engaged films. Kazan directed Quinn in Viva Zapata! and helped bring him an Academy Award.
Chihuahua: A state in northern Mexico bordering the United States, with Chihuahua City as its capital. Quinn was born in Chihuahua City in 1915.
