Anton Pannekoek

Anton Pannekoek (1873–1960) was a Dutch astronomer and Marxist theorist who advanced studies of the Milky Way and helped develop council communism.

Rosa Luxemburg: A Polish-German Marxist theorist and revolutionary who criticized reformism and helped lead the German Revolution. She and Pannekoek both challenged centralized party leadership, though their political strategies differed.
Workers' councils: Assemblies of elected, recallable delegates through which workers organize and exercise political power. Pannekoek treated councils formed in mass struggles as the basis of workers’ rule.
