Apostles' Creed

The Apostles' Creed is a concise Christian statement of faith organized around belief in the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. It summarizes teachings about the Church, forgiveness, resurrection, and eternal life.

Trinity: The Christian doctrine that God is one being in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The creed's three-part structure reflects this doctrine without explaining it in detail.

Athanasian Creed: A Latin Christian statement of faith emphasizing Trinitarian doctrine and the two natures of Christ. Its technical explanations contrast with the Apostles' Creed's compact, baptismal form.
Resurrection of Jesus: The Christian belief that Jesus rose bodily from the dead after his crucifixion. The creed's account of Jesus culminates in his resurrection and exaltation.
Marcellus of Ancyra: A fourth-century bishop whose Greek confession of faith resembles the Old Roman Creed. His confession is an early witness to a creed related to the Apostles' Creed.
