Arena

An arena is a large venue where audience seating surrounds a central floor or stage. It hosts sports, performances, and other public events.

Seating capacity: The maximum number of people a venue can accommodate under specified conditions. Arena capacity depends on the seating bowl and on how much floor space an event uses.
Basketball: A team sport in which players score by throwing a ball through the opposing team's raised hoop. Indoor basketball is a common arena event, with court and seating arranged around the game.
Crowd management: The planning and control of crowd movement to support safety and orderly access. Entrances, concourses, and exits must handle surges before and after arena events.

Emergency evacuation: The organized movement of people away from a place facing immediate danger. Arena routes and procedures must allow thousands of occupants to leave safely.
Theater: A venue designed primarily for staged performances before an audience. A theater usually directs seating toward a stage rather than surrounding a central floor.
Sightline: An unobstructed line of vision from a seat to a point of interest. Arena geometry is designed to keep the action visible from many seats.
Concert: A live musical performance before an audience. Concert staging and audience layouts adapt the arena to amplified live music.
