Armagnac–Burgundian Civil War

The Armagnac–Burgundian Civil War was a French dynastic conflict between rival noble factions, intensified by the 1407 assassination of Louis I, Duke of Orléans, and entangled with the Hundred Years’ War.

Louis I, Duke of Orléans: A French prince and younger brother of King Charles VI, assassinated in Paris in 1407. His murder by Burgundian agents transformed court rivalry into open factional conflict.
Bernard VII, Count of Armagnac: A powerful southern French noble who became the leading military figure of the Armagnac faction. His leadership gave the faction its familiar name and a formidable commander.
