Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic

The Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic was a constituent republic of the Soviet Union in the South Caucasus from 1920 to 1991, with a brief interruption during the Second World War era.

First Republic of Armenia: An independent Armenian state that existed from 1918 to 1920. Its collapse preceded Soviet rule in Armenia.
