Arthur Evans

Arthur Evans (1851–1941) was a British archaeologist who excavated Knossos on Crete and helped define the study of Minoan civilization.

Knossos: A Bronze Age palace complex on Crete, central to the study of Minoan civilization. Evans excavated this site and interpreted its buildings as the center of a Minoan kingdom.
