Arthur Percival

Arthur Ernest Percival (1887–1966) was a British Army officer who commanded Allied forces in Malaya and Singapore during the Japanese invasion of 1941–1942. His surrender of Singapore became one of Britain’s largest military defeats.

Battle of Malaya: The Japanese campaign that defeated British and Allied forces in Malaya from December 1941 to January 1942. Percival commanded the Allied defense as Japanese forces advanced down the peninsula.
