Artur Schnabel

Artur Schnabel (1882–1951) was an Austrian-born pianist, composer, and teacher renowned for his interpretations of Beethoven’s piano sonatas, which emphasized musical structure over virtuoso display.

Theodor Leschetizky: Theodor Leschetizky was a Polish pianist and teacher who trained many prominent pianists in Vienna. Schnabel studied with Leschetizky in Vienna, gaining the training that launched his career.
