Aryan certificate

An official document under Nazi rule that certified a person’s claimed non-Jewish ancestry, usually through genealogical records. Such proof was used to enforce racial classification and exclusion.

Ahnenpass: A German genealogical booklet documenting a person’s ancestry, widely used to prove descent under Nazi racial rules. It was a common format for assembling the family records behind an ancestry certificate.
Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service: An April 1933 Nazi law that enabled the dismissal of Jews and political opponents from the civil service. Civil servants were among the first groups required to document ancestry.
