Asia

Asia is Earth’s largest and most populous continent, extending from the Mediterranean region to the Pacific Ocean. Its boundaries with Europe and Africa are conventional rather than universally agreed.

Eurasia: Eurasia is the continuous landmass comprising Europe and Asia. Asia forms the larger eastern portion of this connected continental landmass.
Himalayas: The Himalayas are a mountain range separating the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau. They form a dramatic southern boundary to the Asian highlands.
Ural Mountains: The Ural Mountains are a north–south mountain range in western Russia. They are a traditional, though not universally accepted, boundary between Europe and Asia.
Asian population: Asia’s population is the aggregate of people living across the continent and its regions. Its size and concentration make Asia central to global demographic patterns.
Seven-continent model: The seven-continent model divides Earth’s land into Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Australia. It treats Asia and Europe as separate continents despite their continuous landmass.
Asian Russia: Asian Russia is the part of Russia lying east of the Ural Mountains. It accounts for much of northern Asia and gives the continent its vast Arctic reach.
Tibetan Plateau: The Tibetan Plateau is a high-altitude region of Central and East Asia. Its elevation and glaciers influence rivers and climates across the continent.
Caucasus Mountains: The Caucasus Mountains lie between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. Different boundary conventions place parts of this region in Europe or Asia.
Silk Road: The Silk Road was a network of overland trade routes linking East Asia with western regions. Its routes connected distant Asian societies through commerce and cultural exchange.
Six-continent model: The six-continent model combines some continents, commonly treating Europe and Asia as Eurasia. It contrasts with the separate Asia and Europe used in the seven-continent model.
