Aspleniaceae

Aspleniaceae is a family of leptosporangiate ferns that includes the widespread genus Asplenium, commonly called spleenworts.

Leptosporangiate ferns: A large group of ferns whose sporangia develop from a single initial cell and typically have a stalk and annulus. Aspleniaceae belongs to this major fern lineage.
