Astrophysics Data System

The Astrophysics Data System (ADS) is a NASA-funded digital library and search service for scholarly literature in astronomy, astrophysics, and related fields.

NASA ADS Search: The search interface for finding astronomy and astrophysics literature indexed by NASA ADS. Its query tools retrieve records across ADS’s bibliographic databases.
Bibliographic database: An organized collection of records describing publications and related scholarly materials. ADS is built around searchable bibliographic records rather than only full-text documents.

NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database: A NASA-funded database of information about extragalactic objects and their literature. NED links astronomical object information with publications discoverable through ADS.
Bibliometrics: The quantitative study of publications and patterns of scholarly communication. ADS citation data enables bibliometric analyses of astronomy research.
