Athol Fugard

Athol Fugard is a South African playwright, novelist, actor, and director whose work confronted apartheid and its effects on ordinary lives.

The Blood Knot: A play about two coloured half-brothers confronting racial classification and separation in South Africa. Its brothers embody apartheid’s power to divide people within a family.
