The Gates of Hell : An monumental bronze portal conceived by Rodin, crowded with figures drawn from Dante’s Inferno . This unfinished commission became the source of figures later developed as independent sculptures.
Lost-wax casting : A metal-casting process in which a wax model is replaced by molten metal inside a mold. Bronze versions of Rodin’s works were produced through this process, often after his death.
