B. H. Liddell Hart

B. H. Liddell Hart (1895–1970) was a British soldier, military historian, and strategist whose theory of the indirect approach emphasized dislocating an opponent psychologically and strategically before battle.

Indirect approach: A strategy that seeks victory by unsettling an opponent’s balance and avoiding direct attacks on their strongest positions. Liddell Hart developed this principle into the central idea of his strategic writing.
