Knowra B. V. Doshi B. V. Doshi Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi (1927–2023) was an Indian architect and educator whose modernist buildings adapted to local traditions, climate, and social needs.
Le Corbusier : Le Corbusier was a Swiss-French architect and urban planner who helped define modern architecture. Doshi worked in his Paris studio and helped supervise projects in India.
Sangath : Sangath is the Ahmedabad studio and office designed by B. V. Doshi, completed in 1981. Its vaulted roofs, gardens, and earth-integrated spaces express Doshi’s approach to climate and place.
M. F. Husain : M. F. Husain was an Indian painter associated with modernist art and the Progressive Artists’ Group. He collaborated with Doshi on the design and artistic conception of Amdavad ni Gufa.
