Bahmani Kingdom

The Bahmani Kingdom was a Muslim sultanate in the Deccan, founded in 1347 and fragmented into successor states during the late fifteenth century.

Ala-ud-Din Bahman Shah: The founder and first sultan of the Bahmani Kingdom, who ruled from 1347 to 1358. His revolt against Delhi established the dynasty and the sultanate.
Mahmud Gawan: A Persian-born statesman who served as the Bahmani Kingdom's chief minister in the fifteenth century. His administrative and military reforms sought to strengthen the sultanate against provincial magnates.
Muhammad Shah I: A Bahmani sultan who ruled from 1358 to 1375 and consolidated the early kingdom. His reign strengthened the sultanate and included major conflict with the Vijayanagara Empire.
Bidar Fort: A fortified complex in Bidar, developed under Bahmani and later Deccan rulers. Its palaces and defenses reflect the court's relocation and evolving military needs.
