Bakht Khan

Bakht Khan was an artillery officer in the Bengal Army who became the senior military leader of rebel forces in Delhi during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

Bahadur Shah Zafar: Bahadur Shah Zafar was the last Mughal emperor and a poet who became the symbolic sovereign of the 1857 rebellion in Delhi. Bakht Khan served under the emperor after rebel sepoys proclaimed him their leader.
Bengal Army: The Bengal Army was the largest of the East India Company’s three presidency armies in India. Bakht Khan’s artillery career began within this army before he joined the rebellion.
