Bandenbekämpfung

Bandenbekämpfung, literally “bandit fighting,” was the German label for anti-partisan warfare, especially the repression of resistance movements in Nazi-occupied Europe. Nazi forces used it to frame broad campaigns of occupation violence as security operations.
