Baoji

Baoji is a prefecture-level city in western Shaanxi, China, near the eastern end of the ancient Silk Road. It is known for archaeological sites and bronze artifacts from the Zhou dynasty.

Zhouyuan: An archaeological site in Shaanxi associated with the early Zhou dynasty and its political center. This early Zhou center lies in Baoji’s Fufeng and Qishan area.
Guanzhong Plain: A fertile basin in central Shaanxi bounded by mountain ranges and traversed by the Wei River. Baoji occupies the plain’s western gateway, where routes enter the basin.
