Bartolomé Mitre

Bartolomé Mitre was an Argentine statesman, military leader, historian, and writer who served as president of Argentina from 1862 to 1868.

Justo José de Urquiza: An Argentine general and politician who led the Confederation and served as its president from 1854 to 1860. His defeat at Pavón in 1861 opened the way for Mitre to lead a unified Argentina.
