Bass drum

A large drum that produces a low-pitched sound when struck with a mallet or pedal. It appears in orchestras, marching bands, and drum kits.

Drumhead: A stretched membrane that vibrates to produce sound when struck. The bass drum’s head vibrates after a mallet or pedal sets it in motion.
