Battle of Bibracte

A 58 BCE Roman victory under Julius Caesar over the migrating Helvetii, fought near the Aeduan town of Bibracte during the Gallic Wars.

Julius Caesar: A Roman general and statesman whose campaigns in Gaul expanded Roman power and shaped the end of the Republic. Caesar commanded the Roman forces and later narrated the battle in his commentaries.
