Battle of Friedland

A decisive battle fought near Friedland, East Prussia, on June 14, 1807, in which Napoleon’s French forces defeated the Russian army and helped end the War of the Fourth Coalition.

Battle of Heilsberg: An indecisive battle between French and Russian forces fought near Heilsberg on June 10, 1807. Its costly fighting preceded Friedland and left Russian forces concentrated near the Alle River.
