Battle of Kolín

A 1757 battle in Bohemia in which Austrian forces defeated Frederick the Great’s Prussian army, ending his invasion of the Habsburg lands.

Leopold Joseph von Daun: An Austrian field marshal who commanded the Habsburg army at Kolín and later became one of its leading commanders. His cautious deployment and counterattack turned the battle against Frederick.
Prague campaign: The 1757 campaign in which Prussia invaded Bohemia and besieged the Austrian army in Prague. Kolín ended the campaign’s momentum and compelled the Prussians to withdraw from Bohemia.
