Battle of Lechfeld

A battle fought near Augsburg in 955 in which East Frankish king Otto I defeated a Magyar invasion, ending the Magyars’ large-scale raids into Western Europe.

Otto I: Otto I was king of East Francia from 936 and Holy Roman Emperor from 962 until his death in 973. His command united the forces that defeated the Magyar invasion.
