Battle of Petrovaradin

A 1716 battle near Petrovaradin in which Habsburg forces under Prince Eugene of Savoy defeated an Ottoman army. The victory helped reverse Ottoman gains in the Great Turkish War.

Prince Eugene of Savoy: An Austrian commander who led Habsburg armies to major victories over the Ottoman Empire and France. He commanded the Habsburg army and shaped its deployment and attack.
