Battle of Thapsus

A 46 BCE battle in North Africa in which Julius Caesar defeated forces led by Metellus Scipio and Juba I, securing his control of the region.

Julius Caesar: A Roman general and politician who defeated Pompey’s forces and became dictator during the late Roman Republic. He commanded the victorious army and exploited its discipline against the opposing elephants.
