Battle of the Indus

The 1221 battle in which Genghis Khan’s forces defeated Jalal al-Din Khwarazmshah near the Indus River, ending with Jalal al-Din’s escape across the river.

Indus River: A major river flowing through Tibet, India, and Pakistan into the Arabian Sea. Jalal al-Din crossed this river to escape the Mongol forces after the defeat.
