Battle of Vukovar

An 87-day siege and battle in 1991 in which Yugoslav forces captured the Croatian city of Vukovar during the Croatian War of Independence.

Siege of Vukovar: The encirclement and bombardment of Vukovar by Yugoslav forces from August to November 1991. The siege was the battle’s defining military operation.
