Battle of Waterberg

The Battle of Waterberg was a German colonial military operation against the Herero in August 1904, fought on the Waterberg plateau in present-day Namibia. Its aftermath included the Herero retreat into the Omaheke and mass death during German pursuit and confinement.

Waterberg Plateau: A highland region in central Namibia, marked by steep escarpments and springs. German forces attacked Herero positions around this plateau in August 1904.
