Bay of Kotor

The Bay of Kotor is a deeply indented inlet on Montenegro’s Adriatic coast, ringed by steep mountains and historic coastal towns. Its narrow channels and sheltered waters connect a chain of basins to the Adriatic Sea.

Adriatic Sea: The northernmost arm of the Mediterranean Sea, bordered by the Italian and Balkan peninsulas. The bay opens into the Adriatic through a narrow entrance.

Our Lady of the Rocks: An artificial islet and Catholic church near Perast in the Bay of Kotor. The islet is one of the bay’s most distinctive human-made landmarks.
