BBC Sports Personality of the Year

An annual BBC award recognizing a sportsperson's achievements during the year, with the main winner selected by a public vote.

Paul Fox: A British television producer and executive who helped develop the BBC's sports programming. He devised the award in 1954 while working as a BBC producer.
