Bebop

Bebop is a modern jazz style that emerged in the 1940s, marked by fast tempos, intricate melodies, and improvisation over complex harmonies.

Bebop scale: A jazz scale with an added chromatic passing tone that helps align chord tones with strong beats. Its added note lets improvisers sustain flowing eighth-note lines through changing harmony.
