Belfast

Belfast is the capital and largest city of Northern Ireland, situated at the mouth of the River Lagan. It was the birthplace of writer C. S. Lewis in 1898.

River Lagan: A river in Northern Ireland that flows through Belfast and empties into Belfast Lough. Its estuary made Belfast a sheltered harbor and anchored the city’s development.
C. S. Lewis: A British writer and scholar best known for the Chronicles of Narnia and Christian apologetics. Lewis was born in Belfast in 1898 and drew on childhood memories of Ulster.
